Prepared for Overflow | September Blog

| The Crowning Jewels

In the month of September, God is opening up unexpected doors and opportunities for people to step into unexpected or abandoned dreams. He is teaching His people to operate from a place of rest and experience the gift of rest. He is preparing His children to live from a place of abundance and extravagant generosity. Partner with God in giving from joy and asking God for a heavenly perspective.

Unexpected Opportunities
Many are the plans of a man’s heart but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.
Proverbs 19.21

In this season, God is leading people in ways they never expected. Many people will experience former passions or things they gave up years ago coming back seemingly out of the blue. Perhaps it was a career you laid down or a dream you gave up. You may even ask, “is this who I am anymore?” but there is grace and ease to step into the new thing.

You’ll recognize that it’s the Lord because of the level of ease on this particular opportunity. This isn’t always the case–sometimes the Lord leads us into intensity and difficulty, because that is where we’ll experience the most breakthrough. However, if you find that God is bringing up old passions or you suddenly have the opportunity to minister to others with a gift you laid down, lean in. Paul Manwaring says, “God wastes nothing, He gets you ready.” And in this season, God is bringing back things that you thought didn’t matter.

If you’ve been pursuing the kingdom, if you’ve been about God’s business, if you are looking for ways to help and serve others, then expect God to open doors for you. God is orchestrating your steps and He will open up doors to minister to others, while also making sure that you are taken care of in the process. Although what’s coming in this season may look different than what you’ve been doing it is still absolutely aligned with who God created you to be.  God will take care of the opportunities, connection and finances, it’s simply your job to say “yes.”

The Gift of Rest
It is a waste of time to get up early and stay up late,
trying to make a living.
The Lord provides for those he loves,
even while they are sleeping.
Psalm 127:2

Many people are living burnt out and exhausted and have been running on empty for far too long. The exhaustion and overwhelm you have been facing on a daily basis has been wearing you thin. In a fast paced society, it’s easy to live disconnected from your bodies and push too hard for too long. However, this is a season where God is inviting people into Sabbath rest. Rest doesn’t mean you never work. Rather, when you work from rest, you experience the power of God’s grace coming in and helping you.

God is saying, “I can do more in your resting than I can in your striving.” When you take time to rest, you allow yourself to experience God meeting you and filling in the gaps. It’s time to allow God to show up and provide for you even when you are resting. If you’ve been experiencing burnout and exhaustion and stressor after stressor, receive the gift of rest. Experience God’s faithfulness over your life. Rest isn’t lazy, it’s holy and it’s also a commandment in scripture. God is going to give you a revelation of what it means to rest in Him and what it means to work from rest. This truth will revolutionize your life for the better, but you must break up with the idea that burnout is holy. Rather, it’s time to intentionally rest. Go on long walks, get outside, lay in the sun, sip tea, and let yourself stare out the window. As you invite the Holy Spirit into your work and rest, you will experience the joy and healing that comes from resting in His Presence.

Get Ready for Overflow
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
Luke 6:38

God is preparing His people for abundance and overflow. He is highlighting areas where poverty and fear based mindsets have run the show for too long. And He is exposing the beliefs and spiritual agreements that have kept His children in lack and struggle. Right now, He is preparing His people for abundance.

If you have been feeling like you’ll always be stuck in struggle, like you’ll never have enough, and that you won’t be fully taken care of, it’s time to shift your thinking and ask God for abundance mindsets.

Following God doesn’t mean that you’ll never struggle, but you weren’t created to live in poverty and lack when you have been adopted into the family of God. Rather, as a child of God, you have access to the miracles, resources, and provision of Heaven. If you’re encountering fear around being provided for, ask God for a heavenly perspective. There is no such thing as lack in the kingdom of God. As an act of faith, prepare your life for overflow. What does preparation look like? Perhaps it’s signing up for a class on faith or agreeing to go on a ministry trip or another step of faith. What does it look like to live from a belief that more than enough is available to you? Make declarations of faith and provision over your circumstances and watch as God molds you and shapes you into someone who can hold His overflowing blessings.

Extravagant Generosity
God loves a cheerful giver.
2 Corinthians 2.6

Generosity is one key tenet of believing in abundance. As God is walking His people out of lack mentalities and orphan ways of thinking, there’s an invitation to walk in extravagant generosity. Those who know they are deeply loved and taken care of are generous with their time, energy, and resources. Ask God how you can be generous with what you have, even if you still feel like it’s not enough. It’s a spiritual principle that generosity invites abundance and provision.

We don’t have to be generous. Nor is generosity a way to manipulate God into giving us more. Rather, we are generous because God is generous. Generosity is in His nature and we want to be like our Father. That said, generosity invites breakthrough, invites provision, and invites abundance. If you’re needing breakthrough in one area, begin to give or serve in that specific area. Watch what God does with your generous spirit and give from joy. Scripture says, “He who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.” In the process of giving, you will also receive.

At The Crowning Jewels, it's our desire and our mission to bring encouragement, to build others up, and to bring comfort to people’s lives (1 Corinthians 14.3). Each month our founder, Anne, asks the Lord what He’s doing in the coming month and for any words of encouragement He might have for His people. We believe that prophetic words need to be encouraging and edifying. Moreover, with a corporate prophetic word, not all words are applicable to all people. If our words bless you, please take hold of them and apply them in your own life. If it’s not specific to you, please pass it on to someone else who might be blessed.

As always, the prophetic is a free gift from heaven and will always be something we freely share. As a prophetic business, it’s our mission to bring encouragement and edification to people through the free gift of prophecy, with our product being jewelry.

We at The Crowning Jewels believe in the absolute, transformational power of declarations. We know that truth comes by hearing (Romans 10.17), and speaking truth is an active way for us to renew our minds (Romans 12.2). We invite you to partner with what God is doing and say these declarations for the remainder of the month. We would love to hear what God does! Please email us your testimony at hello@thecrowningjewels.com.
