“Take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given you the land to possess.”

Numbers 33.53

God is reminding you of a promise He has spoken to you, but that you’ve been struggling to believe.  Some people reading this have been feeling apathetic, overwhelmed and weary from the opposition you’ve been facing, as you are believing for your promise. There is an area of your life (business, relationships, financial, or something you’ve been given) that in some ways you have separated yourself from or even abdicated your role in. Perhaps you feel like you are misaligned or “in over your head.”

God is calling you into your Promised Land, for He has given it to you and it’s time for you to act like it!  Just because He gave the land to the Israelites, does not mean that they had everything handed to them on a silver platter. Stepping into their Promised Land required work. In the same chapter as the verse above, Numbers 33, God tells them, “‘When you cross the Jordan into Canaan, drive out all the inhabitants of the land before you. Destroy all their carved images and their cast idols, and demolish all their high places.”  It goes on to say, “But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land, those you allow to remain will become barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will give you trouble in the land where you will live.” In the midst of facing countless battles, giants and hardships, the Israelites had to choose to believe they were the rightful heirs of the land and even when they were scared, they had to continue to believe in the promise God had given them.

Ultimately the way you have been feeling about your promise comes down to an identity issue. Perhaps, there is a part of you that doesn’t believe it’s yours; a part of you that doesn’t feel worthy. There may even be parts of you that have given up, or are doubting what God said. It is of paramount importance that you stop this way of thinking and push through to your promise. If you don’t work through this area of unbelief, just like God told the Israelites, your unbelief will become, “barbs in your eyes and thorns in your side.” The questioning of your identity is caused by lies that are coming against the people of God right now.  They are suggesting, (in a very convincing manner), that you are not good enough, not worthy and that God didn’t really choose you. Your destiny is tied to you getting past this way of thinking and demolishing these lies. God did choose you if this is His promise to you. So how do you demolish these lies? The work that is required is simply to believe in Him. You get to stand in the truth of His words over you and allow them to change your thoughts to align with His. You possess the land by agreeing it’s yours for the taking, and from this place, a natural desire will come to carry out the work of your promise.

Holy Spirit, we thank you for this revelation. I pray that you would quicken anyone reading this word if this is for them. Awaken their hearts and eyes to see and remember what you have said to them. We stand in agreement for all the promises that you’ve given to your people, and we agree that the time is now for them to possess their land. Give them the courage to rise and stand in faith.  Give them the truth to declare and think in such a way that aligns with your purpose for their lives. We call them into the people that you created them to be, and we release heaven’s provision and grace to accomplish their purpose on the earth.  Thank you for the open doors and the divine connections you are sending them right now. In Jesus’ mighty name!

We at The Crowning Jewels believe in the absolute, transformational power of declarations. We know that truth comes by hearing (Romans 10.17), and speaking truth is an active way for us to renew our minds (Romans 12.2). We also believe that in speaking forth these declarations, you will change your life.  We invite you to partner with what God is doing and say these declarations for the remainder of the month. We would love to hear what God does! Please email us your testimony at
